the same problems. There were two things that we have changed: 1.) /etc/gforge/gforge.conf The entry for the ldap web add password was wrong, looks like the config file does not use the entered debconf value, so check that the line ldap_web_add_password=<secret> contains the right password. 2.) /usr/lib/gforge/bin/install-ldap.sh contains those two lines with that: objectClass: posixAccount objectClass: debGforgeAccount those two objectClasses are both auxiliary, which causes problems with openldap 2.1x because there must be a struct(ural) object class We have added objectClass: person and the configuration finished without problems. btw: we were using the gforge-3.0.3 packages.
